"...that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings,
being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead

Philippians 3:8-11 (NKJV)

"‘Now then, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be My own possession among all the peoples, for all the earth is Mine; and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the sons of Israel.” Exodus 19:5-6
The Lord sent Moses to remind the Israelites of all that they saw the Lord do to the Egyptians. How He bore them on eagles’ wings and how He brought them to Himself. He also told Moses to tell the Israelites that if they would obey His voice and keep His covenant, they would be His own possession. It’s not that the Lord didn’t already own the earth and the fullness thereof (Psalm 24), but He wanted the Israelites to have a relationship with Him that differed from all else. They in turn would be a holy nation and as a kingdom of priests. This was an invitation to be set apart and a people specifically for Him.

This invitation gives us a glimpse of the redemptive work that God would bring through Jesus Christ and exclusivity to be a holy nation. God, in His redemptive work through Jesus Christ, brought us to Himself. Being His children, we still hear the call to obey His voice and to keep His commandments because He loves us, we love Him, and we are set apart and treasured as His own.

The God of the universe desires a relationship with you. When you think about our awesome Creator, His holiness, and all of His greatness that is beyond our comprehension, it is an humbling thought that He considers us as His treasured possession and that He desires fellowship and a growing relationship with us that is nurtured through loving obedience to His voice by honoring His commandments.

There are so many things in life that compete for our time and attention. We give attention to the things that we treasure the most. God, through Christ Jesus, made a way that we could be His treasured possession among all peoples, a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation. If you are a child of God, remember you are His treasured possession and He desires to be your treasured possession as well.

"Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain,
But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised." Proverbs 31:30

I am a woman of God, who by the grace of God, is seeking to know and love Christ more through the study of His Word and I am joyfully walking this journey with others that desire the same.  I thank God for your desire to know and love Him more!
